Sterling Silver Bracelet Workshop with Greg deHetre

Renowned local artist/jewelry designer and craftsman Greg deHetre, brings the magic of R.W. Studios to North 42 Degrees Estate Winery in this hands-on workshop. You’ll learn the intricate design of his Helm bracelet and make your own in sterling silver, to cherish for yourself or give to someone you love.

This workshop also makes a fabulous “experience gift” to the jewelry-loving person in your life who loves to work with his/her hands and create something intricate!

Photography Fundamentals Workshop with Mike Kovaliv

January 13, 2019, 2pm-4pm

If you’re ready to start taking better photographs, to understand the basics of photography, and to take control of your camera, then this workshop is for you. The two-hour course covers topics including a photography basics overview, the exposure system, understanding light, camera modes, lenses, and capturing photographs the way you want. $90 per person, plus HST. The Art of Glüwein


The wine! The spices! The aromatics! The tradition! There’s good reason to be excited about Glüwein, the traditional cold weather drink of German-speaking nations. It’s a glorious wine beverage made with an assemblage of tart citrus and exhilirating spices, served during the holiday season and after snow-skiing. We present our Glüwein workshop by the fire inside our winery, with instruction on how to make this must-have beverage. You’ll learn how to make Glüwein from both red and white wines, as well as recipe and presentation tips. Of course, tastings are part of the fun! You’ll head home with new skills and knowledge and your own spice packets for delighting your family and friends.

Make a day of it! Book a table at our Bistro 42 for lunch prior to the workshop, or stay for dinner afterward. If weather conditions are favourable, we may offer cross country skiing that day. Stay tuned! Skiing and dining are not included in the cost of the workshop.

Cookie Decorating Workshop

Beautiful cookies are a joy to make and to eat! Lisa Powers leads this colourful, fun workshop where you’ll learn how to make, roll and cut perfect sugar cookies. You’ll learn to make the right texture of Royal Icing for specific tasks and decorate with piping tools using Lisa’s professional tips and techniques. All supplies are included.

Sparkling Wine: The Mystery Behind the Bubbles

Many of us think of sparkling wine only in the case of big celebrations and holidays. This workshop is designed to uncover the mystery surrounding sparkling wines and how to enjoy those delightful bubbles at any time. You’ll learn about and taste the difference between Champagne and sparkling wines, as well as how they are made and how they pair with food. Led by our CAPS Sommelier, Leslie Meloche, this workshop will build your confidence in selecting, pairing and serving this very special beverage at any time of the year.
